The light goes on!

Working in class today to put keynote onto Blog through 'Slideshare.com'.  Followed all the instructions but was unable to get it showing up on Blog.  All that was happening was a jumble of letters etc.  Went to find my trusty ICT geek :-) at school...no where to be found!  Took me 10 minutes of figuring out for myself but finally found how to change it in the post options.  Very little thing but I was so excited.  A great example to share with the class on how we all have new learning  to do and sometimes there will not be that wonderful person there to guide you through tricky spots. Priceless Twitter Finds

The resources on Twitter are overwhelming me!  All in a good way though :-) Off a link from Professor Steve Wheeler tweets, I went into an amazing site that had an abundance of Web 2.0 Tools.  What excited me the most was that I know the children in my class will absolutely love them.  I can't wait to see what ways they can use them to show their learning.  Over the next couple of weeks check out our class blog to see what ideas they have come up with.

Kindergarten Blog

I was looking around the epal's website and came across this great blog that is from a Kindy.
It just confirmed my beliefs that anyone of any age can create a learning Blog or Wiki and show what new learning, wonderings and experiences they have. It really makes me excited about having our own class blog and children creating individual blogs. The potential is endless when it comes to what you can use them for. I am really looking forward to exploring all these opportunities as an individual in my own learning, as a group with my peers and with classes that I am a part of.

What is e-learning?

Had a great ICT release day with our leader Kiri last week. Our main discussion was around e-learning. What is it? What does it look like in our class? What does it mean? We have great debates over "Does it always have to involve ICT tools?". That was hard to get our head around. There is definitely a lot of interesting and different ideas out there and it is through out discussions with other teachers that it will become more clear.

The link below is from our Cluster Blog and it shows what e-learning is and isn't. This made it more clear to me.
